Twenty-One-year-old Sam was born in Doncaster, where he still lives. As a junior he was on the books of both Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers before a scholarship at Queen Ethelburga’s in York. He was with Rossington Main for the last three years whilst studying at Loughborough University but missed much of last season through injury from which he has now fully recovered.Sam is happy to play in any position but is naturally a central box to box midfielder.
