Tadcaster Albion take on Mossley for the second successive season on the final day still having an outside chance of reaching the play-off places.
Michael Morton’s side have to beat the Lilywhites to stand any chance of claiming the final play-off spot but will also need help from results elsewhere as Colwyn Bay travel to Hyde with Colne at the champions South Shields. Thursday night’s draw at Llanelian Road between Colwyn Bay and Trafford was a favourable one for Taddy with the Seagulls and Colne both having tricky away fixtures at already promoted side. Colne's 3-1 win at neighbours Clitheroe on Thursday night means that a victory at champions South Shields would see the Reds into the play-offs for a second successive season with a point also being enough if Colwyn Bay falter at Darren Kelly's Hyde.
The Brewers gave themselves a glimmer of hope after digging in to win 2-0 at a severely squelchy Ossett Town on Tuesday night. A first half double from youngster Casey Stewart was enough to see Albion to victory despite surviving a second half onslaught.
Since the new management team of Dave Wild and Terry Hincks took over at Mossley they have accrued eleven points from seven matches including wins over Ramsbottom United and Ossett Town as well as draws against Glossop and Prescot Cables. Last time out they were denied a valiant point as Paddy Miller’s last gasp header earned Hyde United promotion to the Evo-Stik North.
Mossley currently sit in 17th place but could in fact finish as high as 14th with a win and if other results go their way.
When the two sides first met back in September at a soaking Seel Park it ended goalless with Danny Frost going closest for the Brewers.
Team News: Pete Davidson will return but Aiden Savory will miss out after missing the win at Ossett on Tuesday night through injury. Harry Sheppeard may be recalled to the starting team for his final appearance before joining up with Sheffield United. Jason Mycoe ruled out after dislocating knee in training on Thursday night.
