Tadcaster Albion travel to Trafford on Saturday with the Brewers looking to bounce back from last week’s home defeat to Ramsbottom United.
It may be March but this is the first meeting between the two sides this season as Taddy look to finish the campaign off in the top half of the table.
Albion squandered a number of good chances in the second half against Ramsbottom and were made to pay with Lee Gaskel converting a penalty kick eleven minutes from time.
Trafford kicked off the month of March with a trip to Queensgate to face Scarborough Athletic. Joshua Granite’s 83rd minute goal looked to have sealed the win for Tom Baker’s side but a last gasp equaliser from Benny Igiehon saw the points shared.
Trafford currently sit in third place in the Evo-Stik Division One North well adrift of the top two Farsley Celtic and Lancaster City.
Their play-off place is not confirmed by a long stretch however as fourth place Glossop North End and fifth place Ossett Town hold two games in hand over the Manchester based outfit.
Taddy’s last three fixtures on the road have resulted in mixed fortunes with a win, a loss and a draw. Saturday’s opponents have actually fared better on the road this season winning nine times compared to their six home victories.
The Brewers’ record is drastically different winning just three times away from home and seven at the i2i stadium.
Team News: Andy Milne, Michael Ingham and Jason Mycoe all still side-lined with injury but Jono Greening should return.
