On Saturday The Brewers welcome Lancaster City to the i2i stadium as they look to upset one of the league favourites.
Last Saturday saw The Brewers lose 3-1 at Clitheroe. On his return to the club it took Carl Stewart just five minutes to re-open his account hammering into the back of the net.
However that was as good as it got for Taddy as the Lancashire outfit went on to win 3-1.
Phil Brown’s side are coming into the contest on the back of just their fourth league loss of the season as Ryan Salmon’s first half goal was enough to see Ramsbottom take all three points.
Goals have been somewhat hard to come by for the Brewers in recent weeks and they are taking on the third meanest defence in the division with City shipping a stingy seventeen goals.
Lancaster currently sit in third place in the Evo-Stik Division One North and are just two points behind current leaders Scarborough Athletic with a healthy four games in hand over Steve Kittrick’s side.
Team News: Goalkeeper Michael Ingham has had a scan on his foot this week but remains out. Leon Wrigglesworth is set to continue in goal with Ingham, Gary Stevens and Charlie Murphy all out of action. Josh Barrett should return though after picking up a knock in training.
