On Saturday The Brewers travel to Clitheroe looking to climb back up towards the play-off places in the Evo-Stik Division One North.
Last Saturday saw The Brewers draw one a piece with Brighouse Town in a game which could have easily been a win if it wasn’t for an inspired goalkeeper and some unconvincing finishing. Josh Greening and Adam Baker both squandered good chances to seal a first league victory since 12th November away at Ossett Albion.
Tuesday’s home game against Trafford was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Clitheroe are also coming into the match on the back of a postponement, in actual fact, they have featured since the 19th November when they beat Goole 2-0.
Taddy and Clitheroe currently sit 12th and 13th respectively in the Evo-Stik Division One North but a win for either side today could propel them right back up into the play-off picture. That’s the nature of this league; a couple of wins and you are right up there whereas on the other hand, a couple of defeats can see you drift downwards.
Team News: Goalkeeper Michael Ingham remains out. Tom Corner is a doubt but Andy Milne returns to the squad after a trip to the United States with work. Carl Stewart is available for selection and could start after re-signing from Scarborough Athletic on Monday evening.
