On Saturday, Taddy kick off the 2016/17 season in the Evo-Stik Division One North with a trip to recently relegated Hyde United.
Last season there were two divisions between The Brewers and the Cheshire based side, now, they take on each other on the opening day of the league season.
Last season Hyde finished 22nd in the Evo-Stik Premier Division and were relegated with 40 points from 46 games, six points from safety.
The Manchester based side have actually suffered three successive relegations but may just find their feet once again in the Evo-Stik Division One North.
The Tigers have had a mixed bag of results in pre-season; winning against Nelson, New Mills and Warrington Town, drawing against AFC Mansfield, Guiseley and Abbey Hey and losing against Harrogate Town, Stockport Town and Wrexham.
On to ourselves Tadcaster Albion, we are ready to embark upon our first ever season at Step 4 level after winning the NCEL Premier Division.
Team News: Jono Greening and Adam Baker will miss the season opener for The Brewers due to being away but other than that manager Billy Miller has a full strength squad to choose from.
Dan Thirkell is still out of action and will have to wait for his Tadcaster debut as he is still recovering from back surgery.
The biggest selection dilemma will be in the centre of midfield with several players vying for a spot in the starting eleven. Miller has to pick from Fatlum Ibrahimi, Jason Mycoe, Jimmy Beadle, Liam Shepherd and new signing Charlie Binns.
