After the hard earned point away at Hallam on Tuesday evening, The Brewers are on the road again on Saturday afternoon as they make the short journey to Frickley Athletic. The two teams met in our first home game of the season back in August as Frickley came out on top with a 4-2 victory in front of a crowd of 220.

Frickley are in 13th place on the NCEL table, 6 points behind The Brewers who are in 12th position. The Blues have played 1 more game. They have been on a bad run of results. They have not won in 10 games and on Thursday, they parted company with their manager Pat McGuire. They announced on Friday interim managers in Luke Potter, John Stanclifffe and Robert Tonks. This is their 2nd season in the NCEL after relegation from the Northern Premier League, a league they had been in since 1987. Their average home attendance this season is 216, slightly down on last season. It should be another competitive game, Just 4 games left after this one, away at Knaresborough the following weekend then 3 home games in April to wrap things up for this very soggy season.
