The Brewers head over to West Yorkshire again on Saturday afternoon to play against Thackley once more. BD10 0TL. The teams met in Tadcaster just 2 weeks ago and Thackley came out 4-2 winners against The Brewers after having a dominant first half display where they led 3-1 at half time. Saturday's game will be their first home game since the two teams met recently. Since then they have had a great 6-3 win at Handsworth, but they did go out of the league Cup 3-2 at Horbury Town. They have been in the NCEL Premier Division since 1982, could this be their year for promotion ?

They are going really well in the league and currently stand in 4th place which is a playoff spot. They are 10 points ahead of The Brewers but have played one game less. Finn Donovan and Ben Grech-Brooksbank are their leading goalscorers in the league with 10 goals each from 15 starts. In comparison, The Brewers Elliott Andrew has 9 goals from 9 starts and 4 appearances as a substitute. Their squad includes winger Tawheed Ahmed who was with us for a short period in 2023-24 before he moved to Selby Town. He has 5 goals for the season so far in all competitions for Thackley, including one last weekend in their big league win at Handsworth.

After The Brewers electric performance in the second half against Handsworth on Tuesday, the game against The Dennyboys has the potential to be a great game as we try to climb up the league table. I am sure the team would welcome any support if you can get to the game.
