The Brewers are on the road again in the league on Saturday as they head down the A1 to Scunthorpe ( via Doncaster ! ) to play Bottesford Town, DN17 2TQ. In the league game at Taddy back in July, The Brewers came out on top 3-0 in the first game of the league season, see the picture where they went close. In their last game, The Brewers won 4-1 away at Horbury Town in the West Riding County Cup whilst Bottesford went down 3-0 in the league at Rossington Main.
Last season In the games between the 2 teams, The Brewers won 1-0 at home but went down 2-1 in the away game. This season Bottesford are 1 point and 2 places below The Brewers but The Poachers have 2 games in hand. Aristides Cunha is their leading goalscorer with 15 goals in all competitions. They have taken 17 points from 10 home games whilst The Brewers have taken 3 points from 7 away games. In the form table, Bottesford Town have taken 5 points from their last 6 games against The Brewers who have taken 3.
At the top of the table, Silsden and Golcar United have started to pull away from the others, whilst at the bottom, Goole AFC are 6 points adrift whilst also having played more games. The 2nd relegation place is currently held by Winterton Rangers with 15 points, but the next 4 teams are covered by just 4 places, including The Brewers and Poachers.
Another important game for The Brewers where both teams really need the points as our Pre Xmas road trip tour continues. They would love any support from Brewers fans who can travel for the match.
