Defender Teams Up Again with Mick O'Connell

Twenty-nine-year-old Dan has joined from Harrogate Railway .

Based in Harrogate, he broke into non-league when just sixteen years old at Knaresborough Town moving onto Glasshougton where much of the time was spent injured due to twice breaking the same ankle!

After a 30 month stay in Australia Dan returned to the UK in 2020, settling straight back into football at The Rail and played an active role in the consecutive play-offs of the last two seasons.

His favoured position is left back but Dan will play anywhere such is his enthusiasm for the game.

He brings to Taddy a passion which inspires those around him. He is quick to point out that, for him, the team and its success is everything. All he asks for himself, is that he stays injury free for the whole season and can play a full part.

"Looking at the team Mick O’Connell has brought together, Tad should be challenging for promotion right from the start. Tadcaster as a well-respected club with a pitch which will suit Mick’s style of play. I can remember watching my dad playing there and have always held the club in high regard”.

Welcome Dan to Taddy . Your experience will play a big part in this season’s performances.
