With Harry Fisk injured, John Deacey has lost no time in talking to Doncaster Rovers about an immediate return on loan of Ben Bottomley who performed so well for us last season before his recall to Donny.
The young goalkeeper first joined the Doncaster Academy at U16s and had made his mark with his excellent work-rate. He signed on apprenticeship terms in August 2019 before moving up to the first-team last season after a spell in the Under 18’s. Ben Signed his first professional terms in July 2021.
He was in the matchday squad for Rovers for eight games last season, including the final five and started this campaign with a month’s loan at Lincoln United.
Our thanks to Doncaster Rovers for this invaluable help and “Welcome Back Ben” to the “So-Trak” Stadium .
Ben goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s league match away to high flyers, Hebburn Town.
